Egremont has a large Pay and Display Car park to the rear of Kwik Save, as well as free Timed parking on the Main Street.
The town's public toilets are situated in the large Pay and Display car park.
The Police Station can be found at the northern end of the main street and the town has its own community officer and he can usually be found walking about the main street.
There are phone boxes to be found near The Post Office, The Coop and near The Town Hall all on the Main Street.
Egremont has a regular bus service and a taxi rank in the town centre.
The public library is housed just off the North End of Main Street in a sandstone building near to the secondary school.

Northern Rail are to be congratulated on doing a lot to promote the Cumbrian Coastal Railway, by a series of special offers:
Day Rangers are ideal for a day out in a specified area, or if you feel adventurous, purchase a Rover ticket, which cover a greater area, and you can choose
the days you wish to travel. Duo tickets are return tickets for two people travelling together. The current timetable gives more details, including prices.
Ranger tickets may be purchased at any staffed station or from conductors on train when boarding at a unstaffed station.
Lakes & Furness Day Ranger - valid from Sellafield and stations to Morecambe via Barrow in Furness, also Lancaster to Windermere. Includes travel on Stagecoach in Cumbria buses within the Lake District and a cruise on Windermere from Bowness, Lakeside or Ambleside with Windermere Lake Cruises scheduled services. Valid on any train from 0845 Mondays to Fridays, any train Saturday, Sundays and Bank Holidays. Also available on 0741 Sellafield to Barrow in Furness service Mondays to Fridays.
Tyne Valley Day Ranger - valid from Whitehaven and stations to Sunderland via Carlisle and Newcastle. Valid on any train from 0845 Mondays to Fridays, any train Saturday, Sundays and Bank Holidays.
Cumbrian Coast Day Ranger — valid from Barrow in Furness and stations to Carlisle via Whitehaven. Valid on any train.
Cumbria Round Robin - valid for a circular journey in either direction Barrow in Furness - Whitehaven - Carlisle - Penrith - Lancaster - Barrow In Furness. Between Barrow in Furness and Carlisle via Whitehaven and vice versa no time restriction applies Mondays to Fridays.
Rover tickets can only be purchased at a mainline staffed station, tickets are not available from the conductor on train. Freedom of North West, North Country and All Line Rovers are valid on the Cumbrian Coast and Furness lines.

Duo Tickets are day returns for two people, travelling together, with special rates to Whitehaven, Carlisle and Barrow in Furness, and Lancaster via Barrow. Railcards are not accepted for Duo tickets, but may be for the Rangers and Rovers.
